A heartfelt thank you.
Dear Readers,
Thank you—truly—for being here and for supporting my journey.
I chose to publish independently and in a series format for personal reasons. Traditional publishing and platforms felt limiting. I kept running into blocks about what I was allowed to say, and I was afraid that even if I built a following, someone else could still erase it with one click. I hope it sparks a trend that we all become independent and be in control of our success. This feels really good. Even as I type this to nobody. Lol. Nobody is here yet. But I will watch this place grow and develop.
Publishing in a series also helps me stay accountable. Baby, that adhd be in full effect. This way if people are waiting I will be publishing. It gives me structure and—if I’m being honest—it builds confidence. I struggle with believing my writing is good. But every chapter is a step closer to handing in that resignation! Knowing you're reading along makes it feel a little less scary.
Lastly, as a survivor of domestic violence and someone living with an autoimmune disease, my health can be unpredictable. I'm also a single parent, and this will help me earn a little extra to support my kids.
But more than that, I want to show them that dreams are worth chasing. That even when life is hard, we can still create something beautiful. I hope that through my writing, I can one day help fund a dream of theirs too.
So thank you—for reading, for sharing, for believing in me.
With love always,
Daniell Townsend
